The Brooklyn Music & Leadership Institute is a cohesive unit of the best and brightest musicians in our region. Tiffany Jordan and Mr. Brown attended Grambling State University together. Stephen J. Ballard was the Percussion Captain of the Soldier Marching Unit as a high school student and now as an adult represents the many churches in the borough of Brooklyn. Together, the Dream Team has a history of leading the largest marching band programs in the country to national championship victories.
The goal of the Dream Team is to operate efficiently, over the long term of the Institute, to provide continuity to the families and school communities we serve. Our executive team of band directors meets weekly to collaborate and innovate ideas and strategies that will support the Institute's many programs and philosophy. The Advisory Board meets quarterly to discuss real estate, fundraising, business strategy, key performance indicators, proposals, projects and partnerships.

The Brooklyn Music & Leadership Institute and affiliate marching band programs believe in equal opportunity both for our performers, and the audiences we serve.
Any performance venue which has the potential to, or may jeopardize our reputation, safety, the students we serve, the families we represent, and the school community we partner with, may be declined.
We strive to keep a diverse list of performances each year for our students to attend which will encourage them to flourish as self-aware contributors of society, while balancing the rigours of intense academic enrichment and education at their schools.

The Brooklyn Music & Leadership Institute aims to prevent the educational, social, and emotional decline of minority youth.
We intend to successfully combat the adverse circumstances associated with impoverished neighborhoods in which many of our students reside.
Our organization is uniquely focused in providing excellence. Through the support of marching band activities, special events, concerts, fundraisers, healthy living initiatives, talks, and young leaders of tomorrow.
It is our goal to be a bridge for minorities to use to crossover through the weeds of their world into college, a professional career, entrepreneurship and healthy life choices.
